When I've got writer's block I watch Almost Famous or Stranger Than Fiction.

When I'm bummed or bored, I pop in Lord of the Rings or Serenity.

Not only do I pretty much know these movies by heart, but they also inspire a wide range of emotions from me. Gotta love it.

J.R.R. Tolkien and Jesus.

I'd serve nice wine, maybe some pasta.

Then we'd talk about sacrifice, and what it means to be living and not just be alive.

I miss everyone having big dreams. When I was still in elementary school, it was okay for everyone to want to grow up to be an astronaut or a princess or a ballerina or a professional basketball player. Now I'm in college and the only thing anybody tells us we should reach for is a decent job with a steady paycheck. You know, something with dental benefits. No one talks about being an astronaut anymore. It's really sad.
